Preparatory Sessions of IIOE Pilot Project in Mongolia Kicked off
On 9 September 2022, UNESCO-ICHEI and the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST) jointly organized a leadership consultation as well as a faculty mobilization meeting ahead of the upcoming official launch of their collaborative project, "Blended Learning Capacity Building for STEM teachers in Mongolia".
During the leadership consultation, Prof. Lim Cher Ping, Chief Expert of IIOE, UNESCO-ICHEI, and Prof. Charles R. Graham, Brigham Young University, U.S., as the lead experts of the pilot project, presented the objectives and tasks of the pilot project to Prof. Badarch Dendev, Advisor to Minister of Education and Science, Mongolia, and Prof. Uuganbayar Tumurkhuu, Director of International Affairs and Cooperation, MUST. They also had an in-depth exchange on the expectations of MUST, who is the project's main implementer and beneficiary institution, the model of teacher professional development, the sustainability of the project, and the difficulties and challenges that may be encountered in digital transformation at the faculty and institutional levels.
